On New Year's Eve, law enforcement announced the arrest of Emanuel Lutchman, who was allegedly inspired by ISIS to carry out an attack in Rochester. Government has defended the arrest, saying it's evidence that investigators are keeping the public safe. Critics have wondered if there are mental health issues, and whether ISIS was actually involved.
Our guests examine how law enforcement analyzes cases like this, and also discuss the mental health component. In studio:
- Mark Concordia, former FBI and counter terrorism instructor
- Robert Weisman, D.O., associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine
