The George Eastman Museumhas announced that actress Julia Roberts will make a second appearance in Rochester in May.
That’s after her appearance at the Dryden Theatre on May 2 sold out. Roberts will be accepting the George Eastman Award that evening.
On Tuesday, the museum announced that Roberts will introduce a special screening of the 2002 film Full Frontal at the Dryden Theatre on Wednesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m.
Roberts has agreed to introduce the film.
The museum describes Full Frontal as being Steven Soderbergh’s ensemble piece shot on both video and film, demarcating “real life” from the film-within-the-film. Roberts is an actor being filmed in a romantic drama while dealing with her own issues off the set.
Tickets to the film screening are $50 and can be purchased online at eastman.org/eastmanaward2019 beginning Thursday, March 14 at 10 a.m. for Eastman Museum members; if there are tickets remaining, they will be released to the public on Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
