SENECA FALLS (AP) A new exhibit at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls tells the story of the American home front during World War II.
The exhibit runs through the end of January.
The exhibit focuses on women's contributions to the military and also to wartime production in U.S. factories, where they became known collectively as "Rosie the Riveter."
Their contributions to the war effort are told in displays that include artifacts, text and images.
The exhibit also shows how others - African-Americans, Hispanic and Japanese-Americans - faced discrimination and overcame hardships during the war years.
The exhibit opens in time for the village of Seneca Falls' annual "It's A Wonderful Life'' Festival being held Dec. 12-14.
