weather.gov

The snow continued to fall Tuesday, and it will do more of that overnight into Wednesday. But generally, the amounts in the immediate Rochester area are expected to be manageable.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for several counties including Monroe, Ontario, Livingston, Wayne, Genesee and Seneca.

The advisory is in effect from Tuesday evening until Wednesday evening, and News 8 meteorologist Josh Nichols expecting another 1 to 4 inches of snow for most of the region Tuesday night, with 6" or more in parts of Wyoming and Wayne counties and the Bristol Hills.

There is a Winter Storm Warning for Wyoming County and other counties south of Buffalo.

It will also be breezy  from Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Nichols says look for some more accumulation Wednesday, mainly just north of Rochester toward Lake Ontario and in parts of Wyoming County.

The high will remain in the 30s until the weekend, when the temperatures rise into the 40s on Saturday and the 50s on Sunday.
