Lake effect snow and bitterly cold weather are on the way for our region.
There is a Lake Effect Snow Warning for counties including Monroe and Orleans until 4pm Thursday.
The forecast calls for several inches of snow in the most persistent lake bands, with the highest amounts near the Lake Ontario Shoreline.
The high Wednesday will be near 30, but it will get much colder as the week progresses, with a high of 15 on Thursday; a high of 23 on Friday, and the high temperature on Saturday will only be about 3 degrees.
There is a Lake Snow Warning for Wayne County from 10am Wednesday until 4am on Friday, with 10 to 20 inches in areas with the most persistent lake snows.
