The call for more than 5,000 American troops to be deployed to the US-Mexico border has magnified our nation’s immigration debate. And with the midterm elections just days away, some political pundits question how President Trump’s order will affect people heading to the polls.

Exactly how voters view immigration happens to be an area of interest for two Cornell professors. In an innovative study, they’re examining how race, gender, and immigration attitudes will influence politics, in particular, the midterm elections.
