A local manufacturer is expanding and adding jobs. Z-AXIS, an electronics design and contract manufacturer in Phelps in Ontario County is updating its facility, and expects to create up to 20 new jobs over the next three years. 80 others will be retained.
Empire State Development is providing up to $150,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program in exchange for the job creation commitment. Greater Rochester Enterprise also assisted with the project.
The expansion by Z-Axis includes the installation of new equipment.
