The state Department of Environmental Conservation has closed the Sandy Creek boat launch in Hamlin due to high water levels in Lake Ontario.
The lake's level is 247.18 feet, about a foot higher than at this point last year, which was in line with historical averages.
The launch is being closed for the safety of the public.
