The city of Rochester has reopened the Pont de Rennes in the High Falls District.
The pedestrian bridge had been closed so crews could finish replacing a faulty coating on the bridge's deck.
The city overhauled the Pont de Rennes between May 2023 and December 2024, but the deck coating began chipping by the following spring. The city closed the bridge temporarily in May so crews could start the work. They temporarily closed it again earlier this month.
