Coming up on Connections: Thursday, September 4th

First hour: Timothy Wu, candidate for Lt. Governor

Second hour: NPR's David Greene and Robert Smith

In our first hour, we're joined by Timothy Wu, candidate for Lt. Governor in Tuesday's Democratic primary. He's campaigning with Zephyr Teachout, who is challenging Governor Andrew Cuomo. Wu will talk about his views on what the Lt. Governor of New York state should be; if he happens to win and Teachout loses, Wu could end up serving as a kind of ombudsman in the Cuomo administration.

In our second hour, NPR's David Greene and Robert Smith join the program. They're coming to Rochester Tuesday night for an event in conjunction with WXXI. Here's a description of the event:

Convening communities across the country, NPR Presents Family Matters: Your Financial Lifetime to move the conversation beyond just talk for audiences at different phases in their economic journey.  NPR’s Morning Edition host, David Greene and NPR Planet Money Correspondent, Robert Smith take multi-generational audiences through an educational, interactive, lively and—believe it or not-- fun conversation.
