City Of Rochester Unveils New Website

cityofrochester.gov

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has unveiled a newly designed city website, featuring a new home page and portal pages for city services, departments and priorities.

It features what is known as "responsive design, " meaning that the website can adapt its size according to the device being used, whether it be a desktop or laptop computer, tablets, smartphones, etc.

It's the first revision of the city's website since 2009. Warren says a growning number of citizens are relying on mobile devices to access the internet, so the new design needs to address that.

Visitors to the site can do things like apply for city jobs, pay tax and water bills and renew alarm permits  Rochester's website receives about 160,000 visits per month.

Before retiring in March 2025, Randy Gorbman was WXXI's director of news and public affairs and managed the day-to-day operations of WXXI News on radio, television, and online.
