The town of Greece adopted a new policy for invocations before town meetings. The town now requires that those giving an invocation be part of "assemblies with an established presence in the town of Greece that regularly meet for the primary purpose of sharing a religious perspective", and opponents believe this excludes atheists. This hour we have a slew of guests that will debate this issue:
- Dan Courtney, atheist who delivered the first invocation after the Greece v. Galloway ruling
- Dahlia Lithwick, slate.com reporter
- Ron Lindsay, President & CEO, Center for Inquiry
- Brett Harvey, Senior Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom
Note: the town of Greece declined our invitation to be on this program
