Two local business organizations are partnering to bring attention to a booklet that helps promote the Rochester and Finger Lakes area.
The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce originally put the publication out last year, and now they are joining with the tourism group Visit Rochester to promote it.
The book is called “We #ROC “ - 100 reasons to love the Rochester Finger Lakes region, which includes everything from top employers and business amenities to Rochester sports teams and traditions.
Duffy says it is just a natural fit for the chamber to work with Visit Rochester.
“Both organizations, our goal really is to promote our region and create prosperity for our businesses and our community. It’s a perfect partnership for us to have this, and very proud to do it,” Duffy told reporters.
Visit Rochester president and CEO Don Jeffries says tourism truly is big business in this region.
“Tourism in Monroe County alone is a $1 billion economic impact and 20,000 jobs are created, and the sales tax and the hotel tax, the revenue we receive is a fabulous part of what we do,” Jeffries said.
