The most recent numbers on COVID-19 from Monroe County show that the positivity rate has dropped below 3% over the weekend. It had been just over 3% for the last several days.
On Sunday, the seven-day rolling average positivity rate was 2.9%; it was 2.8% on Saturday.
Monroe County on Sunday reported another 232 new cases of COVID-19. There were no new deaths. The seven-day rolling average of new cases is 226 new cases per day.
There are 213 people hospitalized in the Finger Lakes region; 49 people are in ICU.
Statewide, the COVID-19 infection rate has been dropping also, with Governor Andrew Cuomo reporting the seven-day average positivity rate falling to 2.19%, the lowest since November 8.
In terms of vaccinations, the percentage of New Yorkers with at least one vaccine dose is 44.1%. The percentage of people with the completed vaccine series is 31.1%.
In the Finger Lakes Region, 45.2% of the population has had one dose and 33.9% has had the completed vaccine series.
