A Brighton company is expanding and adding jobs. Empire State Development has announced that Evolve Additive Solutions will be expanding at Metro Park, and that will allow the firm to create close to 60 new jobs in the region over the next five years.
Evolve, which is headquartered in Minnesota, operates its materials technology center in Brighton. Evolve is involved in helping develop products for the automotive, aerospace, medical and industrial markets.
Initially, the company plans to expand the manufacturing space in Brighton by 7,000 square-feet with plans to add on another 13,000 square-feet over the coming years.
Empire State Development has offered tax credits of up to $1 million through the Excelsior Tax Credit Program in exchange for job creation commitments. Evolve plans to invest $1.2 million to grow its local operation. Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also helping with the project.
