The Strong Museum in Rochester is getting ready to take the wraps off a new, $4 million exhibit dedicated to some special toys.
The museum has for years recognized classic toys with its National Toy Hall of Fame, and the new exhibit will also include The Toy Industry Association's Hall of Fame, which recognizes the people who design, make and sell toys.
Chief Curator at the museum Chris Bensch, says the new exhibit will feature state of the art technology, including a virtual bubble tower.
"Bubbles were inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame a year ago and we didn't want to have slopping vats of bubble solution so what better way to put the wonders of digital technology to work than to be able to play, bounce, pop make bubbles in a huge virtual space."
Officials at the museum say the exhibit could draw an additional 40,000 visitors a year to that facility.
The exhibit is slated to open to the public on September 19th.
