The High Falls Film Festival has named Nora Brown to be its executive director. Brown is Rochester's film commissioner and also the executive director of the newly renamed Rochester/Finger Lakes Film Commission.
She previously served on the festival's board of directors as its operations director, and chair of the 2014 programming committee. This year's festival takes place Nov. 12th to the 16th in Rochester.
Brown and her team are currently working on a five- year plan for the High Falls Film Festival, which recently returned to its roots of celebrating women in film.
The festival also announced Kathy Goll as the new chair of the board of directors. She is an award-winning film producer who was the festival's manager in 2013.
