The 2018 Party in the Park lineup has been announced, but this year’s shows will have some new additions.
Kicking off the weekly run with be Turkuaz on Thursday June 7th. Other headliners include G Love and Special Sauce, The Original Wailers and hometown favorites Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, with Queen cover band Almost Queen closing out the year on August 2nd.
A VIP Ultra Lounge is a new option this year. The lounge will provide access to a VIP tent with a cash bar, table service, private rest rooms and front stage access. A ticket there will cost you $35, as opposed to the $5 general admission fee.
Also new this year: a craft beer garden, which will feature brews from around the region and Bazaar in the Park, which will bring a shopping area to the concerts. Local designers, vintage collectors and other artisanal products will be for sale, with new talent every week.
Party in the Park will once again be held at Dr Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Park.
Mayor Lovely Warren joined promoter Jeff Springut to announce the lineup for the 2018 outdoor summer concert series. Warren says the events are an important part of Rochester’s summer soundtrack, bringing people from all over the region to affordable concerts in the city.
