provided

Willow Domestic Violence Center has a new leader.

Marisol Ramos-Lopez has been chosen to succeed Jaime Saunders, who left Willow to head the United Way of Greater Rochester.

For more than 20 years, Ramos was the director of the city of Rochester's Department of Recreation and Youth Services, where she oversaw a staff of over 400. Ramos-Lopez has served on the boards of a number of local nonprofits, including The Center for Youth, the Ibero-American Action League, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  She is a founding board member and former board chairperson at Bivona Child Advocacy Center.

Ramos-Lopez was a finalist for the Athena Award in 2018, and was honored by the Latinas Unidas for her leadership achievements.

Ramos-Lopez was appointed as Willow Domestic Violence Center's new President and CEO by a unanimous vote of its board of directors.

She starts her new role on March 28.
