Bivona announces new executive director

Officials with the Bivona Child Advocacy Center have announced a new executive director.

Deborah Rosen will succeed longtime director Mary Whittier, who announced last year that she would be stepping down.

She has more than 20 years experience as a licensed clinical social worker.

Rosen will start the new job on April 24th. Whittier will help with the transition and will leave on or around June 2nd.

Bivona is a non-profit organization providing help for children who have been sexually or physically abused.

Randy Gorbman is WXXI's director of news and public affairs. Randy manages the day-to-day operations of WXXI News on radio, television, and online.
