Henrietta fire victims identified, 6 deaths total from wind storm

Monroe County health officials say that last week’s wind storm is related to the deaths of six people.

That includes two people who fell down stairs in homes without electricity, one person who fell off a roof and two people who died in that house fire in Henrietta last Sunday, identified as Jacob A. Simon, 26, and Marion S. Simon, 86.

It’s believed the fire cause is related either to a generator or a fireplace at a home that had no electricity.

Monroe County commissioner of public health, Dr. Michael Mendoza says the deaths related to the storm also include a fatal accident in Spencerport.
