More than 200 people gathered Saturday morning for the opening of a new store at the redeveloped Rochester Armory on Culver Road.
The occasion was the opening of the Fleet Feet store, owned by company founders Ellen Brenner-Boutillier and David Boutillier. They started their business on Monroe Avenue in Brighton a decade ago, but were looking for more room.
Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren was among the officials on hand for the opening, with Warren noting the company organizes a number of events in the community.
With their production company, YellowJacket racing, they help organize dozens of runs and walks through the Rochester area.
Following the opening of the store, more than 100 runners and walkers took part in a distance training program ranging from 3 to 13 miles.
