High winds are predicted to batter Rochester and much of Western New York starting Friday evening through Saturday.
The National Weather Service upgraded a High Wind Watch to a high wind watch beginning at midnight Friday and running through Saturday night. They predict sustained winds of 25 to 40 miles per hour with stronger gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
The Weather Service warns increased winds speeds could lead to scattered power outages and downed tree limbs.
