Three people are dead including a 10 year old girl in a shooting incident in a Perinton home.
Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn says Penelope Luddy, 53, shot her daughter and father before turning the gun on herself. The double murder and suicide happened at the family home at 14 Red Fox Run Wednesday morning.
Alexandra Luddy, 10, was a fifth grade student at Jefferson Road School in Pittsford. Harold Bertram, 79 and Alexandra’s grandfather, also lived in the home.
Sheriff O’Flynn says Penelope Luddy sent her husband Michael out to look after a loved one around 8:30 a.m. When he returned home about an hour later, he found the victims and called 911.
O’Flynn says Bertram was able to tell investigators what happened as emergency personnel tried to save his live. He and Alexandra died at Strong Hospital. Penelope Luddy was dead at the scene of the shooting.
