The Obama administration wants to make it easier for students and parents to compare colleges when it comes to the average yearly cost, graduation rates and whether graduates were able to land successful jobs.
The White House has developed an online tool to allow people to look up that information.
Locally, RIT had the highest median salary for graduates who enrolled in 2001 and 2002. A decade later, they were earning a salary of $56,900.
The University of Rochester was second highest with a median salary of $55,500.
Among the area public universities, SUNY Geneseo graduates earned the most in this comparison. After ten years, the median salary for a Geneseo graduate was $46,700.
