We’re joined by botanist and author Robin Wall Kimmerer. Her new book, “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants,” has been selected as the 2021 Rochester Reads book.
Kimmerer will be in town later this month for book readings and discussions, but first, she joins us on Connections to talk about her work, how objective science can be enriched by the knowledge of indigenous people, and what we can learn from plants and animals – which Kimmerer says are humans’ oldest teachers.
