Mrs. New York State, Jessica Lahr, is in Las Vegas this week, competing in the national Mrs. America pageant.
She and her husband Chad have been married for eight years and are parents of two boys, ages seven and four.
According to her bio, Jessica is a stay-at-home mom, model, commercial actress, and Co-Business Owner of Beast Mode Athletics LLC, a company that’s giving back to charitable organizations and bringing communities together by producing and executing fun athletic events for adults and children.
More recently, she has focused charity work on the local Ronald McDonald house.
For Jessica, it has been a road of perseverance through adversity to make her childhood dreams of modeling and acting come true. Through weight loss and making the most of the industry in Upstate New York, Jessica has become passionate about mentoring, encouraging and empowering women to follow their dreams despite adversities or obstacles. Being Mrs. New York America 2015 is a dream she could never have imagined to come true and just another way for her to encourage other women that if she can do it, anyone can.
The national pageant is Thursday, September 24 at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas. The winner of the Mrs. America Pageant in Vegas will represent the USA in the Mrs. World Pageant later this year.
The 2015 Mrs. New York America Pageant is set for Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center in Rochester.
