There is some nasty weather on the way for the Rochester area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Lakeshore Flood Warning from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon for counties including Monroe, Wayne, Orleans and Niagara.
Lakeshore flooding is possible with strong northwesterly winds, combining with above normal lake levels to increase shoreline erosion and possibly cause some minor lakeshore flooding.
Also, the weather service says that rain showers late Thursday afternoon and early evening and overnight could turn wet road surfaces to black ice, resulting in dangerous travel conditions.
There is also a Wind Advisory from Thursday evening into Friday morning for counties including Monroe, Wayne, Orleans.
Snow squalls are also possible Thursday night. Not much accumulation is expected, but that could produce localized poor visibility and slick roads.
The forecast calls for a low on Thursday night of 24 and a high Friday of 27 with partly sunny, windy conditions.
