Some people in Brighton spent Presidents Day protesting the President

Dozens of people took to the streets in Brighton to protest President Donald Trump on this Presidents Day despite the wind and persistent snowfall.

Wendee Jacobson organized this event which was part of nationwide demonstrations happening Monday. She said it was important to have them on the holiday.

"Because in my view, we don’t have a president. He’s more like a dictator. He serves for his own pleasure, he doesn’t care about how it impacts the average person, the working person."

Barbara Moore is the President of the Rochester Chapter of National Organization for Women and said she had many reasons to hit the streets.

"But, the very urgent one for me right now is that he is just by skirting our constitution. And he is taking control, taking power that the constitution doesn’t give him and we have to stop it, we have to call it out and we have to protest."

Joanna Frank was bundled up with a sign as well.

"I feel like when he calls out for an emergency, Emergencies are for hurricanes and like flooding, but this is nowhere like that. This is just him wanting to build a wall."

A similar protest also happened in Geneseo.
