2 Vine restaurant has closed

A well known restaurant in Rochester’s East End has closed. It is 2 Vine, on Winthrop Street.

A notice on its website, says that after 19 years of serving Rochester diners, 2 Vine has “regrettably decided to close its doors.”  The notice says that with its lease about to expire, and unable to reach an agreement for an extension, owner and founder Jerry Serafine made the “tough and bittersweet decision to close.”

The website also says that Serafine has undergone some recent health concerns which also aided in his decision.

And the notice says he wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to 2 Vine’s chef Pawl Kane, his staff and to the Rochester community for the years of patronage and friendship.

2 Vine underwent major renovations in 2016.
