======================================
Crews from Frontier Communications are working to complete repairs after an incident with a truck caused an outage for some Frontier telephone and internet customers in Henrietta last week.
Last Friday, a truck driver (a contruction contractor not affiliated with Frontier) accidentally left the crane ‘boom’ in the up position on the truck, which caused it to take down some power lines and also affected fiber optic and copper telecommunications cables.
It affected customers near Calkins and West Henrietta Roads.
Frontier did not say just how many customers were affected, but they say the fiber cable was repaired Monday night and remaining repairs should be completed within the next couple of days.
A Frontier spokesperson released this statement late Tuesday afternoon:
Frontier crews continue to make progress repairing the extensive damage in Henrietta, NY. We thank our customers and the communities we serve for their patience as our team works diligently to restore service. We will continue to provide updates.
