A man who lived in the Wayne County village of Palmyra died in a fire at his home early Sunday.
Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports that Craig L. Brown, 65 was found inside his home at 511 Canal Street.
The Sheriff reports firefighters and police were called to the scene at about 4:15 am.
Virts says the fire appears to have started in the living room and is believe to be accidental, however, the investigation continues.
Four area fire departments were called to the scene: Palmyra, Port Gibson, South Macedon and Marion.
