ALBANY (AP) Firefighters are reminding New Yorkers to make safety checks as they turn their clocks back.
Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday, when people should turn their clocks back one hour.
The Firemen's Association of the State of New York says this weekend is a good time to make sure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are working condition:
- That means making sure there is no debris blocking alarms.
- The group says older alarms that have removable batteries should receive a fresh set.
- Newer smoke alarms with sealed-in, 10-year batteries should still be tested and inspected regularly.
Future clock change dates.
