The Rochester area got about 5 to 7 inches of snow overnight, and another couple of inches are expected today, bringing the storm totals to 6 to 9 inches. That's less than forecasters were originally predicting.
The National Weather Service has canceled the winter storm warning that had been in effect since Tuesday afternoon. If you are traveling east through the state on Wednesday, keep in mind that more snow is forecast for Central New York. Driving conditions will continue to improve throughout Rochester and areas to our west.
There is still a lake effect snow advisory for Wayne County until Friday morning.
