First hour: New survey regarding sexual assault on campus

Second hour: Previewing flu season

A new survey of thousands of college students finds that more than 1 in 5 women says she was sexually assaulted during her school-age years. Critics have attacked the methodology of the survey, but college leaders are responding by trying to emphasize ways to stop assault. Our panel will discuss the survey, the findings, the questions, and what to do next. In studio:

Morgan Levy, Director of Equal Opportunity, University of Rochester
Allison O'Malley, Executive Director, RESOLVE of Greater Rochester
Sara Gleisle, Assistant Director of Prevention and Outreach Services, Center for Select Respect, SUNY College at Brockport

In our second hour: Will the flu shot be effective this year? Last year, the strains mutated, rendering some of the vaccines ineffective. We'll get a preview of flu season, and examine why the medical community expects this year to be different. And we'll answer listener questions about the flu vaccine: supply, how it's created, and more. In studio:

Dr. John Treanor, chief of the Infectious Diseases Division at UR Medicine’s Strong Memorial Hospital
