Connections: Is There A Crisis In The Humanities?

Is there a crisis in the humanities? Everyone from the NY Times, to the New Republic, to the Atlantic Monthly has explored the question. Why are fewer Americans pursuing the humanities? In particular, why are fewer women interested? The University of Rochester is trying to address the crisis, and is offering more digital humanities opportunities.

Evan Dawson is the host of "Connections with Evan Dawson." He joined WXXI in January 2014 after working at 13WHAM-TV, where he served as morning news anchor. He was hired as a reporter for 13WHAM-TV in 2003 before being promoted to anchor in 2007.
