Wegmans has topped a new list of the best retail employers in America.
The list, published by Fortune Magazine, reviewed 15 retailers, based on employee surveys.
The survey lists Wegmans as number one among the top ten large retailers.
The story quotes employees positive responses in areas like providing time and a half pay for people working under 40 hours as well as an overall philosophy at Wegmans that a happy employee will mean a happy customers.
The Rochester-based chain has 92 stores in several states along the east coast.
Wegmans recently announced it was opening more stores in North Carolina.
