Jazz Fest Announces Full Lineup

Organizers of this year's Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival announced the full lineup for the festival Tuesday.

Norah Jones, Steve Martin and Diana Krall are the top names at this year’s event which begins Friday, June 22. The 11th Edition of the festival features more than 1,000 artists, performing at 18 venues in downtown Rochester.

UPDATE: Queen Latifah June 23rd Concert Canceled

Festival co-producer, John Nugent, says that includes nearly 70 concerts on three outdoor stages,

"If you don't have a ticket you just come and hear at East and Chestnut and East and Alexander on the weekends and Jazz Street stage. We have hatch recital hall this year. We're going to close between Scio and Chestnut so you can walk around. There'll be booths and things and food. You know a festival atmosphere in downtown right in the east end. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Nugent says they're hoping to increase the number of festival goers by a few thousand.   The 9 day festival drew approximately 180,000 people into downtown last summer.
