Monroe County reports 219 new cases of COVID-19

Monroe County on Saturday reported 219 new cases of COVID-19. There were no new deaths.

The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 186 new cases per day. The positivity rate in Monroe County was at 2.4%.

As has been the case with recent data, many of the latest COVID-19 positive cases were in younger people, ranging from individuals in their teens to their 20s and 30s.

150 people in the Finger Lakes Region are hospitalized, 38 of them are in ICU.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Saturday that more than 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered across the state. 32.5% of New Yorkers have had one dose of the vaccine and 19.9% have had the completed series.

In the Finger Lakes region, 34.7% of the population has had one dose and 21.4% have had the completed series.
