Bower Wins 3-way Contest for Orleans County Sheriff

Randy Bower was elected the new Orleans County sheriff on Tuesday, defeating Tom Drennan and Don Organisciak.

Bower won the Republican primary in September over Drennan by a slim majority. Bower has been a longtime public safety dispatcher for the Sheriff’s Department.

Organisciak was backed by the Democrats and received about 10 percent of the vote.

Incumbent Sheriff Scott Hess did not run for re-election.
