Rochester Gas & Electric crews were working on restoring power to around 6400 customers on Thursday morning in the Ogden-Parma area.
Dick Marion is a spokesman for RGE. He says the outage is caused by downed power lines on Manitou Road.
The utility estimates most people should be back on line by 11:30 a.m.
