Some Amtrak service to Western NY is being restored, after it was halted due to the heavy snow.
Amtrak service through Buffalo will be restored starting Thursday with Trains 63 & 64, the Maple Leaf, between New York City and Toronto, Ont. Canada, via Albany-Rensselaer, Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
These trains will operate subject to delay following very heavy snowfall and resulting rail traffic congestion due to temporary railroad closures.

Amtrak service north, east and south of Albany-Rensselaer continues to operate. Amtrak service between Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Chicago will be maintained by Amtrak Capitol Limited trains.
