Kodak-Branded Printers May Get Wider Distribution

The Japanese consumer electronics company Funai has entered into a licensing agreement with Eastman Kodak to sell Kodak-branded consumer and small office printer products world-wide.

Funai is a main supplier of consumer electronics to retailers such as Wal-Mart, and according to the Wall Street Journal it plans to strengthen its printer business by offering the Kodak brand, beginning in April.

Kodak now focuses on commercial packaging and printing, but it licenses its name out to other manufacturers who market consumer products, such as Funai.
