A New Look For The iPhone And iPad

If you have an iPhone or an iPad, your device will soon have a whole new look. And it may have a whole new sound as well.

That’s all part of the changes contained in iOS 7.  That's the new mobile operating system Apple is rolling out, which began on Wednesday, to people with iPhones and iPads. One of the options will be to switch to a male voice for Siri, Apple's digital assistant.

There are a number of other changes, including a much different looking screen, one which is  flatter, brighter, and overall more pleasing to the eye, says Rochester area computer guru, Nick Francesco.

"It’s a needed upgrade, in many ways Apple has been falling behind some of the higher end features that are available on some Droids, and this is catch-up, and they've done a good job. "

Francesco says Apple has also made improvements to its camera and photo apps and the devices multitasking abilities. But he says Apple is still behind the makers of the Droid products, such as Samsung, in a number of ways, including offering different sized models.
