ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — There's a new web resource for information about the Great Lakes.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation and New York Sea Grant have created a "New York's Great Lakes" website. The site will include information about grant funding, research projects and policy related to New York's Great Lakes region.

It is designed to be a resource for everyone from environmental researchers to students.

The website is at www.nyseagrant.org/nygreatlakes

New York borders Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.

The Associated Press is one of the largest and most trusted sources of independent newsgathering, supplying a steady stream of news to its members, international subscribers and commercial customers. AP is neither privately owned nor government-funded; instead, it's a not-for-profit news cooperative owned by its American newspaper and broadcast members.
