The Rochester Knighthawks and the rest of the National Lacrosse League can transition from hammering out a labor contract to preparing for the upcoming season.
The NLL and the Professional Lacrosse Players Association agreed to a five-year labor agreement on Saturday, a process that started in January when the PLPA opted-out of the previous seven-year agreement.
The labor dispute cancelled the first two weekends of the season, but the cancellations only affected one Knighthawks, the December 8 season opener against New England. The NLL hasn’t decided if or when the cancelled games will be rescheduled. The Knighthawks open up the season Saturday, December 29 at home vs. Philadelphia.
