UPDATE: Rochester Police say Joe Bradford died; his body was found on Wednesday. Foul play is not suspected.
Sheriff Todd Baxter also issued this statement:
"On behalf of the entire Monroe County Sheriff's Office, we offer our condolences to the family of Joseph Bradford, a former Monroe County Sheriff's deputy. Mr. Bradford was a member of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Recruit Class of 1963. He was one of the first African American deputies assigned to the Road Patrol. MCSO would like to extend its gratitude to the Rochester Police Department and New York State Police for their search efforts for Mr. Bradford when he went missing Tuesday afternoon."

Rochester Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man, described as a vulnerable adult with dementia.
They say that 81 year old Joe Bradford may be in need of medical attention. He was last seen on Cottage Street in Rochester at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and is believed to be on foot.
A State Police helicopter was used Tuesday to help with an aerial search of the area. He is described as an African American man, 6’2”, slender build, with some gray hair.
He was last seen wearing plaid pajama pants, a tan sweater and tan tennis shoes with no laces.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
