The investigation of a fatal crash temporarily closed a section of 390 southbound overnight from late Thursday night into early Friday morning.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says just after 11 p.m. a vehicle struck a retaining wall that separates 390 and the Wal-Mart parking lot. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. He is identified as 22 year old Anthony Mykins.
A 20 woman who was thrown from the vehicle is in guarded condition at Strong Hospital. A third passenger had non-life threatening injures and is listed in stable condition.
Deputies charged the driver, 22-year old Jordin Campbell of Rochester, with vehicular manslaughter, vehicle assault, and driving while intoxicated. Campbell was also being treated for serious injuries. He is in guarded condition at Strong Hospital.
Authorities say their investigation showed that Campbell was driving south on Clay Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and his car left the road, hitting the concrete barrier wall.
390-south has since reopened.
