ROTC Officers Removed At Brockport After Training Incident

Officials at the College at Brockport say that two of the Army ROTC officers running that program  have been removed from those positions after reports that a training session last month sent a number of students to the hospital.

A college spokesman confirms that Lt. Col. Christopher Bringer  and Master Sgt. Mark Breyak are no longer running the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Brockport.

The incident involved an ROTC training session last month that sent 12 students to local hospitals. College spokesman David Mihalyov says none of those students remain in the hospital.

The campus newspaper, The Stylus, reported that the incident included extremely rigorous physical training.

Milhalyov says the college is also conducting its own investigation.
