Rochester Gas and Electric is reporting the storm-related outages were repaired by Wednesday night. Early Wednesday morning, the utility had a total of more than 16,000 customers without power.
Spokesman Dan Hucko says they did get some outside help.
"We brought in contractors and we also brought in other crews from our sister company NYSEG, we had crews from Lancaster-Buffalo area, as well as Utica came in to assist us here in Rochester. " Hucko says RG& E had about 216 wires down and 12 broken poles that had to be replaced.
NYSEG and National Grid also had some outages scattered throughout the region.
